For our February meeting, W.I.N.G.S. (Women in God’s Service) will be taking a field trip to Jill’s Place in Alva. Jill’s Place is a division of St. Matthew’s House and is dedicated to touching hearts and transforming
lives. It is a faith-based residential community for women committed to recovering from abuse and addictions.
The women live in a community that provides positive peer accountability, daily living skills and job responsibilities. Most importantly, clients are given the opportunity and encouragement to transform their
lives as new women in Christ.
If you would like to visit Jill’s Place with us, we will be meeting in the First
United Methodist Church parking lot at 9:30 on Monday, February 11 to carpool for the trip (please be prompt). Jill’s Place has invited us to tour their facility and they will be serving us lunch.
We can help by donating personal hygiene items, body wash, tampons, shampoo, new wash clothes. There are currently 28 women in the program. Please journey with us to Jill’s Place to show your support for this faith-based recovery program.
