Happy Independence Day to you my brothers and sisters in Christ! My prayer for you this summer is that you will take some time to recharge, reflect and renew.
If you glance at the news these days, it’s easy to feel down about the state of things in our country. Inflation, gas prices, social division and more may leave you with little hope. With God however, hope is always on our horizon.
And we are children of The Most High God! Psalm 91:1-2 reads “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.”
We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, The Glades. Take time to look at the beauty of our Lake Okeechobee. Think about how God has provided for you this far and give thanks, believing in his abundant provision for the future. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:19, “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
Finally my friends, rejoice! We have so much to be thankful for as free Americans. May God continue to bless this country and may we be a grateful, loving nation that fervently prays and seeks the face of our Maker. Blessed is the nation that loves the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
God loves you and so do I.
