We are already in May! Can you believe it? Graduation is right around the corner and people
are already looking forward to summer, vacations, a break from school and other wonderful
things. I pray you can take a pause over the next few months as the fall picks up and we get
busy all over again.
In God telling us to keep the Sabbath day holy, He knew we need pauses in our life. In this
case, it’s a focused pause as we worship God and take time to refresh our heart, body and
mind. When we look back on our life, we rarely hear the phrase “Joe took too much time
off.” We usually hear the opposite don’t we?
In Mark 6:30-31 we read: The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they
had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did
not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet
place and get some rest.”
Because Jesus was 100% divine and 100% human, he knew our struggles. And if Jesus had to
take time outs, surely we have to as well.
God bless you and have a wonderful May!
P.S. Congratulations to all our Graduates
