Youth at FUMC

We design our ongoing gatherings, specific ministries, and events throughout the year to accomplish this mission, vision, and faith journey. It is our hope to equip your student and family to continue becoming a deeply committed Christian.

We want to come beside your family on this faith journey together here at First United Methodist Church of Clewiston, supporting, guiding, and challenging you to commit to worship together as a family and growing as a disciple through Ignite Youth Ministry!

On Sunday nights from 6 to 8 pm we invite the youth of Clewiston to the Life Enrichment Center on our campus to the IGNITE Youth Event. We have food, fellowship, faith and lots of fun together. We’re planning lock-ins, road trips and other events for 2016. If you would like to volunteer to serve with our youth and are over 21 years of age, or for more information please contact us at youth@fumcclewiston.com.

We are ready to IGNITEClewiston with the love of Jesus Christ. Let’s do it together!!!

Ignite Youth Ministry Leader

We are excited to share some great news for our church and for Ignite Youth Ministry.

Lindsay Hall has accepted the position of Youth Leader beginning January 1, 2018. Lindsay has been a lifelong resident of Clewiston! Her parents are Malcom and Sandy Hall and her aunt and uncle are Ardis and Alan Hammock.

As a child and youth she attended children’s church, vacation bible school and youth ministry and when she was old enough, she worked in our nursery. She was also a Camp Counselor for several years with the summer camps here in Clewiston, too.

Lindsay currently has a full-time position with the Hendry County Clerk of the Courts at their Clewiston location. She has had some great experiences along the way including her time with the youth group (Leaders: Marcia, Nathan and Nikki) here at First United Methodist Church of Clewiston. She is grateful for the leaders she had and she has “a love for Jesus and an eagerness to learn.” She looks forward to “igniting” the children of Clewiston as she helps our youth grow into mature followers of Jesus Christ. Lindsay looks forward to attending YMI (Youth Ministry Institute) and working with the staff and servants at First UMC.

We look forward to supporting her efforts now and as she grows in this position. Please take a moment to love on Lindsay next time you see her and please ask how you can help her with Ignite Youth Ministry. If you would like to email Lindsay, please feel free to contact her at youth@fumcclewiston.com.
